How to Use ViziLite® Plus with TBlue®

ViziLite® Plus with TBlue® is an easy-to-use system that takes just 90 seconds to perform. It incorporates seamlessly into your existing oral cancer screening examinations. Below are the simple-to-use steps when conducting a ViziLite® Plus with TBlue® oral cancer screening exam. ViziLite® Plus with TBlue® Package Contents

  • Pre-Rinse Solution
  • Handheld Light Stick
  • TBlue® Marking System
  • Disposable Retractor
  • Single-use Dose Cup


Step 1

  • Conduct a standard visual oral cancer screening examination.


Step 2

  • Have your patient rinse with the ViziLite® Plus Pre-Rinse Solution. Dry mouth with gauze or gentle flow of air.
  • While your patient is rinsing with the ViziLite® Plus Pre-Rinse Solution, assemble the disposable handheld light source.

Step 3

Dim the overhead lights or put on ViziLite® Plus eyewear. Inspect the oral cavity using the ViziLite® Plus handheld light stick. Look for lesion(s) that appear distinctly white. Document the site of any identified lesions on the supplied mouth map.

Step 4

If you detect a suspicious lesion and trauma has been ruled out, use the TBlue® marking system to mark the lesion. If possible, photograph the lesion. Then, take appropriate clinical management action.

Appropriately dispose of the ViziLite® Plus hand held light stick and TBlue® swab, and document results of exam.
